Closing session for DjangoCon Europe 2024 in Vigo, Spain.
The organizers said the conference had reached its midpoint with no Code of Conduct incidents reported, while reminding attendees—including online participants—that they could still contact the response team. They shared practical details about the weekend sprints and Django Girls workshop, thanked a departing Django Software Foundation fellow and the volunteers and contributors who made the event possible, and reported conference figures: nearly 450 attendees, 188 submissions, 24 talks, nine workshops, 20 lightning talks, and nearly 30 grant recipients. They also noted the ongoing PyCharm fundraising campaign for the Django Software Foundation and announced that the next conference would be in January 2025.
